97^TH BITHDAY CELEBRATIONS of

HIS HOLINESS DAI AL FATEMI Dr. SYEDNA MOHAMMED BURHANUDDIN SAHEB TUS

The Dawoodi Bohra muslim community of London joined in with over a million followers worldwide in celebrating the 97^th Milad-Birthday of their spiritual leader of His Holiness Dai al Fatemi Dr.Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb TUS.His Holiness from Mumbai (India) addressed the follower in 4 hour long sermon to over 650 mosques and community centres. In London 2000 strong members gathered at Al Masjid Al Husayni in Northolt at 5.30 am on Friday 25^th April 2008. It was a great day full of joy, happiness and well wishing.

In the same evening Ken Livingstone Mayor of London visited the Mosque. A splendid reception was hosted in his honour. There was a photo exhibition of the community’s 900 year old history. This was part of the birthday celebrations. The mayor toured the complex and admired the Islamic –Fatemi architect of the mosque.Amilsaheb (President) Dr.Idris Bhaisaheb Zainuddin outlined the brief history of the community settled in the UK for nearly 50 years.MP Stephen Pound, paid glowing tributes to the many far sighted decisions taken by His Holiness to prepare the community into the 21^st century in this turbulent world.The Mayor Ken Livingstone outlined what had been achieved in the past 8 years- especially keeping London as a united stable city-the world leader.

The mayor also wished His Holiness a very Happy Birthday.

It was a remarkable reception hosted by the Dawoodi Bohra community to mark the 97^th Birthday celebrations. The guests enjoyed the traditional tasty Bohra meal.
