Khatmul Quran Night led by Shahzada Aaliwaqar Qusai Bhaisaheb Vajihuddin Saheb (DM) in Al-Masjid al-Husayni, London (10th Ramadhan 1422H)
The eve of the 10th of Sherullahil Moazzam 1422H was an especially auspicious and mubarak one for the Mumineen, Muminaat and children of London. On this night, Shahzada Aali waqaar Qusai bhaisaheb Vajihuddin (dm) led the Mumineen assembled in al-Masjid al-Husaini in the tilawat of the entire Quran-e-majeed from beginning to end. Shahzada Aali waqaar Ammar bhaisaheb Jamaluddin (dm) also graced the recitation with his presence.
The night began with Shahzada Qusai bhaisaheb rendering bayaan on the fazilat of the Quran especially in the context of Ramadan al-moazzam being the month of its revelation to mankind. The bayaan was eloquent, brimming with knowledge, yet rendered simply enough for all to comprehend and ended with an emotive recount of the shahadat of Quran-e-natiq, Imam Husain (a.s.) and purjosh matam.
The First session of tilawat-e-Quran-e Majeed was initiated by Shahzada Qusai bhaisaheb himself at 5.50 pm and after the recitation of more than 5 siparas, tilawat was then continued by a Jamea Khidmat guzar. The first session ended after ten siparas had been completed at around 8.30pm. Niyaaz jaman for 120 thaals was served revealing that approximately 1000 Mumineen, Muminaat and children had sat for those ten siparas.
The Second session began at 9.45pm, and once again Shahzada saheb himself began the before a second Jamea Khidmat guzar completed the second set of ten siparas at around 12.15 am. Iistiftah and Nisfullayl namaaz were than perfomed and coffee and refreshments were served.
The third and final session began after half an hour later at 12.45 am when a third Jamea khidmat guzar continued the tilawat up to the 25th sipara after which other Jamea khidmat Guzars took up tilawat of single siparas. From Wal'asr, Shahzada saheb again resumed the tilawat through to its completion, rendering the khatmul Quran dua of Imam Zainul Abedin sa and culminating in the matam of Imam Husain (A.S.). Shahzada saheb also beseeched Allah Taala that by the Wasila of al-Quran al-Majeed & its completion by London Mumineen on the 10th of Shehrullah Al Moazzam our long cherised desire be fulfilled that Aqa Moula tus performs the 10th of Moharram (Ashura) in this Masjid. And Allah Subhanahu preserves our beloved Maula tus till yawm al-qiyamat.
In this way this remarkable unprecedented, event in London during this holy month of Ramadhan, took place over three sessions, beginning at 5.00pm after Maghrib isha namaaz and ending at 3.30 am in time for tahajjud namaz.
Aamilsaheb, Dr. Idrisbhaisaheb, and Jamaat Aayan offered Shukr and tehniyat in khidmat of Shazadasaheb for his leading us in this ibaadat for it was his lead that took us through this immense task. The feeling of all who participated at any stage was of great satisfaction and happiness. With Shahzada saheb's wasila we hope and know that our qasir amal will be uplifted and accepted by our beloved Aqa and Mola, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (tus) and that our niyyat in this endeavour for the tuulul umr, in sehat and aafiyat of Aqamola's till yawm ul qiyamat and our niyyat of aqua maula tus performing Ashara in London will be realised very soon. May Allah t'aala hear and answer our prayers. Ameen.
