In The Name Of Allah

Huzurala's (TUS) 90th Milad Mubarak In London
Sunday 15 July 2001 / 24 Rabi al-Aakhar 1422H

We've had searing heat, monsoon rains, gusting winds, thunder, lightning and in some parts of the country even floods. And then - along came Spring...

Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Aqa's waaz mubarak on the day of his 90th Milaad became the first waaz ever for which raza mubarak was granted for simultaneous live relay across the world. As Molana mentioned during the waaz; the relay (by way of the internet) was going to cities worldwide - from Los Angeles where it was 6.30 in the morning across to Sydney where it was well past midnight.

In the waaz Molana spoke of it being summer here in England but that the season was that of Spring. The word Rabi, in Arabic, means Spring and this of-course was Rabi ul Aakher.

It was the season of the mubarak Milaads of Rasulallah, Imam-ul Zamaan and that of Syedna Mohammmed Burhanuddin himself; a time when faiths were brought back to life just as Spring does to nature. This time of celebration was a time when Molana-l-minaam, our fond father, sought to cast barakaat and s`aadaat upon Mumineen; he had come to gift us with the jewels of the trove of Imam-ul-zamaan (a.s.).

These jewels, he told us, were those of the knowledge of truth, of bayaan and - primarily, of the zikr of Imam Husain (a.s.) and with this Molana had us rain down showers of tears in this season of Spring.

Molana related several bayaan, stressing on the subject of marriage; once again saying that Committees and bodies formed to encourage marriage amongst youngsters needed to do more work in this regard. He spoke about English and lisaan-ul-d'awat. English was a language that should be used only when necessary; Molana commented that certain individuals seem very proud to speak only in English - as if it were an indication that, "We are very educated!"

Aqamola spoke of the barakaat of rice; borne of the nuur of Rasulallah (s.a.) and Molana Ali (a.s.); had it been human it would have been a Mumin, had it been a Mumin it would have been a scholar and had it been a scholar it would have been a pious one. When the hungry eat rice they feel fed and when the fully fed eat rice they can digest it. It is a remedy for the sick if they are Mumin, if they are not then it exacerbates the ailment.

By his nazrat raheemiyah; Molana noted the golden touches that were to be seen adorning U.K. Mumineen. In accordance with the instructions of his eldest Shazada Al-Qaidjohar bhaisaheb Mumineen of the U.K. had gold edging on their sayas and many were wearing golden fetas. Furthermore, in celebration of this auspicious milaad the golden touch extended to gold leaf for the aayat and mehraab designs, for the interior of the qibla and also for the Allah on the front portal. The design of Nuurun ala nuur that stretched aross the wall tops of the Masjid and the eewaan were also painted on gold material.

But the ultimate golden touch was that of Syedna Burhanuddin Aqa himself who, with the kimiyaee nazar that is exclusive to him turned our tin like souls to gold with his qubuliyat of our hugely deficient, qaasir khidmat on this venerable occasion celebrating the milaad of Allah's Da'i upon this earth. Molana spoke of how he had heard our araz for Ashara Mubaraka and, it having taken place in Houston had then chosen this day to give us tasalli and itminaan.

We know we can never reciprocate a Dai's love, what we can do is to continually ask that Allah give us the tawfeeq to forever keep trying.

On the day of Milaad Mubarak Molana took to a stage against a backdrop of pink satin and pearls for wadhawaanu by Muminaat baheno. Molana also graced an exhibition reflecting on some of the aspects of his 90 years put together by Qasre aali sahebs and seniors of Al-Jameatus Saifiyah. The day ended with a firework display after maghrib namaaz.

May Allah t'aala grant our Moula a long and healthy life until Qiyamat and may we forever be in his nazar mubarak. Ameen.
